AT is the third chair in Wilkhahn's “free-to-move” range. It has a wide variety of design options and optional automatic weight adjustment, making the program ideal for flexible office concepts where workstations are shared. In these settings, height-adjustable work tables are increasingly being used to encourage people to alternate between sitting and standing. Unfortunately, most staff do not use this option because getting up from a normal seat height and adjusting the height of the table or desk takes too much valuable time.
And this is where the AT office chair program comes in with its elevated seating position (ESP): this model can be used as a standard office chair with full 3D movement capability, but can also be adjusted to a seat height up to 62 cm. The raised seating position also provides additional new features: by activating the patented forward seat tilt, the office chair becomes a dynamic object to be perched on, while allowing users to lean back . When leaning back, the smallest changes in weight are enough to stimulate the 3D flexibility of the pelvis and allow the feet to dangle.
On the other hand, the movement does not stop when people sit upright, but almost automatically when they stand up. Because the table is at a higher height from the start, it doesn't have to be readjusted at all if people just want to stand for a while. The impact is enormous: the desired change of posture between standing and sitting is incorporated intuitively with the movements of the body and in the workflow. As a result, the additional investment in height-adjustable tables is profitable.
The AT ESP model with high seating position is available with automatic weight adjustment, or optionally with individual presetting. The chair has accessories for all kinds of situations: from the adjustable lumbar support (standard) to the 1D, 3D and 4D armrests, including their surfaces, hard or soft, to the extension of the seat depth, which it can be easily changed at the turn of a button.
